Boston: Little Brown, 1941 Bound in red cloth with black titles in off white jacket with blue lettering. History of the Antebellum South, in regard to the institution of slavery, economics, immigration, etc., the winner of a 1928 cash prize from Little Brown for the best unpublished work on American HIstory. Jacket is chipped at extremities and soiled, inside cover lining stained. Large fold-out map in back nicely preserved as is the text. A better than serviceable copy.

W. E. Scull, 1909 Bound in a dark salmon colored decorative cloth, this is an unusually nice conditioned book [these are usually worn, shaken, etc.]. This copy with a spot of wear at one tip, occasional finger soil. A solid tight very good copy.

London: Printed for Richard Phillips, 1811 Bound in maroon leather over boards, fold out map and five copper plate engravings, 209 pp. plus 3 pp ads, bright gilt spine titles. This copy with front board detached, tips rounded, contents very good.

University of Oklahoma Press, 1971 Stated first edition, Nice book with jacket showing some wrinkles, closed tears.

Portland ME, 1838 Bound in full calf with black morocco spine label, gilt titles, 474 pp. This edition "abridged and designed as a text book for academies and high schools". Binding is attractive calf but with some cracking to hinges and tide line to back cover. Title page is foxed and sporadic foxing throughout, otherwise clean, bright and tight.

Edgewood Pub. Co., 1882 Good. The author had the disticnction of being incarcerated in Libby, Pemberton, Andersonville, Savannah, and others and was active in 25 battles and skirmishes. Urban served in Co. D, First Regiment Pennsylvania reserve Infantry. Cover edgeworn with front hinge starting. One leaf, pp161-162 missing.
