New York, 1852. 28p, wraps, lightly worn, a few pencil notes, g-vg. This is the decision in one of the most notable trials of the nineteenth century. Daniel Webster represented Charles Goodyear. The trial record consumes 4 volumes of testimony and the decision resulted in a complete vindication of Goodyear's case and a clear statement by the court recognizing Goodyear as the inventor of vulcanization and upholding his patent. (Wolf, H. & R. RUBBER. NY, 1936. P. 329). Ralph Wolf in his biography of Goodyear devotes an entire chapter to the decision in the case. (Wolf. INDIA RUBBER MAN. Caldwell, Idaho, 1939. P. 207-212).
