[Berkeley?], nd. 8 1/2 x 11", photo-mecahnically reproduced. Illustrated with a drawing attributed to Arthur, with a date that appears to be 13, likely 2013. A mysterious flyer illustrated with a deturned drawing of the anthropomorphic UC Berkeley mascot Oski the bear, holding a hammer with the anarchy symbol emblazoned upon it, standing in front of a smashed television set. Oski has an ICBM missile in his back pocket. If the date of the flyer is 2013, we suspect that this flyer was created in response to the 2013 missile test from Vanderberg air base. Some light creasing, else fine.

Cornwall, 1968. First edition. 8vo, mimeographed from typescript, saddle-stapled wraps. With a holograph letter from the editor laid in discussing the difficulties of distribution and aims of the magazine laid in. Second issue of three eventually published. With contributions from W. S. Graham, Patrick Henry, Peter Redgrove, Tony Netherwood, David G. Whitebread et al. Fine.

[San Francisco]: Communication Company, 1967. 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of yellow watermarked Mead Bond paper hole-punched along left margin (as issued) and mimeographed from typescript. One of the simplest, and most striking of the Diggers / Com/Co broadsides, summing up with great economy the anti-authoritarian ethos of the two projects, even self-referentially. Some faint toning to margins and some faint handling creases else fine.

San Francisco: Order of Maximilian, 1970. Single sheet folded twice to make a 3 panel leaflet. Offset printed on orange paper. Prospectus outlining the aims of the conscientous objector and anti-war group, named after the 3rd century Roman saint and martyr Maximilian of Tebessa, and composed largely of clergymen. The leaflet advertises their anti-war registry and aims. Very good with a couple of light stains.

[London]: Gaberbocchus Press, 1950. Three panel greeting card, folding down to 3 7/8 x 4 1/2". Illustrated with two drawings by Franciszka Themerson. This example is inscribed in green ink "With warmest wishes for x-mas from F & S T." One of a series of greeting cards on bibliophilic themes, illustrated with drawings by Franciszka Themerson. Small yellow circular sticker, perhaps originally used to affix the card, else fine.

Paris: Flammarion, 1939. First edition. Square 8vo, [24] pp, saddle-stapled wraps. Illustrated. Text in French. Issued in the "Albums du Père CAstor" series. The scarce first edition of this charming children's book published at the dawn of the war, and illustrated by Franciszka Themerson under the pseudonym of Françoise Themerson. See The Themersons, Vol. 2, p. 180. Wraps and pages rather heavily toned, with creasing to the wraps and an old, partially removed small price sticker inside back cover. A good to very good example. The work was reprinted several times after the war but is very scarce in the first edition.

Paris: Hachette, 1990. First edition. 8vo, 664 pp, publisher's wraps. Association copy, inscribed by Thom to Gérard Jorland; "A Gérard Jorland, au moins une dédicace... Avec mes meilleurs souvenirs de sa collaboration." A superb association between the founder of Catastrophe Theory and a prominent historian of science. Books inscribed by Thom are rarely encountered in the market. The importance of Thom's work is widely acknowledged in the sciences, but his work also was an important influence on music and the arts - for instance, his work was an influence on John Balance, particularly on the first Coil album. Lower tip lightly bumped throughout, some minor toning else near fine.

San Francisco: White Rabbit Press, 1964. First edition. 8vo, unpaginated, saddle-stapled wraps. A collection of poems based on the major arcana, each of which is printed over a yellow drawing of the card in question. The book was issued as a supplement to the fifth issue of Open Space , the little magazine that was the main organ of the poets surrounding Gino & Carlos Bar, which included Jack Spicer, Stan Persky, and Graham Mackintosh, the printer of this work. A couple of decades after this book was published, the poet married the printer. Besides being a gorgeously written and designed book in its own right, it is one of the most overt links between the San Francisco Renaissance and the occult. The book includes a poem based upon the Grail, with a note stating "The Grail is not found in the deck." The accompanying illustration is of the Ace of Cups. The Grail legend was of course an important influence on Spicer. A very good example with some foxing to the wraps.

San Francisco: Anderson Valley Advertiser, 1995. First edition. 4to, 24 pp, comb bound in card covers. A "preview" edition, published in advance of the trade edition. Includes a preface by Bruce Anderson, the owner of the AVA, in which he advances the theory that the letters were the work of Thomas Pynchon. Fine.

Paris, 1962. 6 7/8 x 9 1/4" sheet, offset printed on green paper. Text in English. Indecipherable (to the cataloguer) Ink inscription in an unknown hand at lower margin in blue ink. Tract issued by Jacqueline de Jong, Jörgen Nash and Ansgar Elde in protest of the exclusion of the Gruppe Spur members, which provocatively drew parallels between the larger unrest in Paris and the fallout from the Conseil Central meeting. "No gallic clarity but a dark witches' trial." Two old fold lines, with heavy toning along the horizontal line, else very good.

London: Sigma, 1964. Foolscap format, [i], 5 pp, mimeographed from typescript and stapled once at the upper left hand corner [copper]. Early issue of the Sigma Project, beginning with a cover letter by Trocchi introducing his contribution to "an interpersonal log-book entitled Potlatch," with reference to the Lettristes, T.E., Lawrence, etc. Despite the diminuitive appearance one of the most substantial elements of the project. "Sigma 4" in pencil in an unknown hand to upper margin. Some minor creasing else fine.

[London]: Sigma, 1965. 8 x 13", two sheets mimeographed from typescript on rectos only and stapled once at the upper left hand corner. Single issue of Trocchi's Situationist-influenced periodical, a key artists' periodical of the era. This issue lays out Trocchi's proposal for an international project holding company to "exploit any cultural inventions." several old fold lines, a touch of toning an light fraying with a little loss to extremites, else very good.

Jacksonville, IL: Bob Tucker, 1975. 8vo, 24 pp, saddle-stapled wraps. A great issue of the longrunning science fiction fanzine, which began publication in 1938. This issue is dedicated to Jackie Franke, who contributes the cover drawing and one internal illustration. It describes the editors trip to Australia NASFic. Laid in is a prospectus for the 28th Annual Midwestcon. Very good with some creasing to the wraps.
