Vladimir Tambi (1906-1955) was born, lived and worked in St. Petersburg - Petrograd - Leningrad. He studied at the workshop of workers-artists of the Proletkult (1920), at the Academy of Arts -VKhUTEMAS (1921-1924). He worked in the experimental lithographic workshop of LOSKHA (1930s), in Detgiz under the direction of V.V. Lebedev, in the "Fighting Pencil" (1941), in 1944-1946 he was the art editor of the State Publishing House of the Estonian SSR. Draftsman, lithographer, book artist. Masterfully painted machinery and all kinds of cars.
