Glassine rubbed at fore-edges and head and foot of spine, evidence of bookplate removal from inside front cover, and some browning to endpapers. Mostly unopened. Original etching by master printmaker Roger Vieillard, who studied with Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17 in the 1930s. One of 200 numbered copies (of a total edition of 210) on Lana. Tardieu (1903-1995) was a poet known for his collaborations with Surrealists, his work as a dramatist, and his association with French radio following World War II.

Stapled wrappers. 24 pp. A later edition of this work was published by Cavan McCarthy in 1968. Cover by Anthony Earnshaw, with whom Thacker collaborated on the 1968 cult classic Musrum. The yapped fore-edge is rubbed and creased with a couple of short closed tears and wear.

Jacket rubbed with some edgewear and chipping to the head and tail of the spine. The debut of an undersung poet, Thompson's poetry is greatly admired by a small but growing base.

Gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges marbled. Portrait frontispiece. Corners and edges rubbed, foxing to preliminaries. Ownership inscription dated 1815 on title-page. One leaf (pp. 117-18) creased at corner. Hinges secure. Originally published in an edition of fifty copies in 1805, Tighe's poem was reprinted posthumously by Longmans following her death in 1810 and became quite popular, drawing admirers such as John Keats. It went through four London editions before this first American printing. Shaw & Shoemaker 26883.
