A.S Barnes, 1953. Very Good. First Edition, hardcover 8vo, 340pp, original dust jacket with color pugilist art by John [Walter] Scott. Anthology collecting stories from earlier Popular Publications magazines. Boxing on the jacket front, baseball book ad on the rear, stories on golf, baseball, golf, boxing, football, even racing. Very Good plus overall, with moderate toning, faint pencil on the endpapers; jacket with heavy spine fading, light edge wear, paper repairs on the verso at the spine ends, brief pencil on the front flap. Still packs quite a visual punch. Since these hardcover sports books were often read by like-minded owners, editions are not often found in collectible quality.

Leytonstone Rde, 1900s. Vintage postcard, c. early 1900s, featuring a woman in masculine 19th century Musketeer costume, complete with mustache and goatee, and sword. Production logo and stamp at the lower left. Far less often were women depicted as men in the early 20th century, where men in women's clothing was seen as comedic (think female impersonators) the opposite was seen as deviant, even illegal in some places. 3.25 x 5.25 inches, printed versos, multilingual. Very Good overall, light rubbing, toning, faint curl, a few small non-obtrusive bruises.

Rank Film Distributors, 1957. Very Good. Original b/w US film still photograph from the 1955 British film, featuring blonde Diana Dors in an enormous bubble bath, her head peaks just above a mound of foam. A wealthy heiress (Dors) whose fiancee (Sinden) is gifted an large alligator. Based on a story by a 19th century Scottish Episcopalian minister. Dors was still in the first decade of her career, and would go on to several key film noirs after 1957. 7.75 x 10 inches, small white border. Very Good Plus, two pinholes, faint creases, brief numerical notation and faint tape ghosts on the verso.

Vintage adventure magazine featuring short story by Jim Thompson about Osage Indians, titled "Two Lives of John Stink," w/ illustration by Hal McIntosh.Thompson would publish his most infamous piece, "The Killer Inside Me," one year later (1952), and would subsequently enjoy success in Paperback Originals. WWII double agents, woman hunter, jet pilots, Arcti famine, hoodoo gold, Bruce Bairnsfather 4pp, Ezzard Charles black boxer, Grey Owl, Homer Tate, art (Bernhardt, Ray Johnson), ads (Babe Ruth, "The Enforcer" film). Very Good, spine roll, foxing, a few tiny tears and chips, still quite nice.

Casino Books, 1979. Very Good. Casino Books 231, 1979; distributed by Parliament News (logo on front). Vintage adult paperback featuring vignette cover photo of model/actress Uschi Digart, seen outdoors, sunbathing topless. To this date, Uschi had been modeling for about a decade. Swiss figure model w/ enduring good looks, lush dimensions, Uschi is on paperbacks, in countless magazines, & memorable performances in Russ Meyer films, notably "Supervixen" (1975), starring as an insatiable Austrian housewife. Casino published several titles featuring popular models on the covers, but the house was short-lived. Novel about painted ladies. Very Good, stickers, bruising. Remainder clip.

Vintage salesman's sample lithographs, featuring portraits of women inside an art nouveau framework of gray, green, & tan, all ladies wearing hats & surrounded by flora, in particular the tan bordered litho w/ clusters of grapes. Circa 1940s, promoting a stationery or printing company likely in the Detroit or Chicago region, or NY, & all show Traver's name on the original painting. 10 x 12.75 inches, card stock, full-color rectos, blank versos. Very Good overall, rubbing, toning, faint foxing, tabs on the versos for hanging (2 tabs torn), a few tiny stains. Still fresh in appearance, suitable to frame. International shipping billed.
