Vellum age-yellowed and soiled with superficial cut marks to front cover, spine label worn at the edges, covers flat and square, binding very lightly shaken but pages very secure, names and very old doodles (including one of a Roman banner) on free endpapers and preliminary blank, "Charles O'Connor, Rome, 1899" also on front free endpaper, rear free endpaper chipped, numbers written in margins of a few pages toward the beginning of the book, pages age-toned but clean.. Dark brown textured cloth with gilt spine lettering, 156 pages. Externally well-preserved from being covered in a makeshift dustjacket which darkened the endpapers but kept the covers in very good condition with only light edge rubbing and a small chip to the front joint. The hinges are internally lightly cracked but secure, minor chipping at the lower edge of the rear hinge with accompanying tiny chips to the final few pages, not affecting text. Text block sound, pages clean with a small transparent spot to the upper margins of last few pages, no names or other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
