Description:
Published by William Heinneman, London; 2005. 8vo. 308pp. Signed First Edition. Condition; Fine/Fine.
Bound in original black cloth boards with title to the spine. The binding is square and tight and free from damage or marks, save a touch of bumping to the spine. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and blemish-free. The book is signed by the author on the title page.
The book is housed in its original dust jacket, which is also in smart condition. Asides from a few very small black marks along the top edge and spine, the jacket is in excellent condition.
In all, this is a very smart example of this signed first edition by Leslie Thomas, who won worldwide acclaim with his best-selling novel 'The Virgin Soldiers', This poignant novel chronicles the lives and loves of ordinary people living in beseiged Britain during these tense, but curiously elated days.
