The front of the dust jacket is bright and attractive; the jacket is protected in a clear, archival removable cover. The interior of the book is clean with no spotting detected; the only writing is a small, faint, erased price in the top right corner of the front free endpaper. The title and author clearly seen in dark green on spine with a small green illustration on front cover. The dust jacket is faded in spots on front with significant faded color loss on spine, but the printing is clear. The back of the dust jacket includes a black and white photo of the author. The interior of the book is in very good condition, it is bright, there is no writing. The frontispiece is a nice color illustration of tundra birds by wildlife artist George Miksch Sutton.
