Tipped onto front pastedown is a letter from the author to Gollancz asking of his health and commenting on the enclosed book. Sir Israel Gollancz 1863-1930 a Professor of Ehglish at Kings College London and uncle to publisher Victor Gollancz. The dust wrapper has age toned to spine and edges. The binding and pages are in excellent clean and bright order. A neat book with an interesting provenance.

Wilkins undertook the first flight over antarctica, and in command of the Submarine Nautilus made the first voyage beneath polar ice. An interesting perspective on Polar exploration.
