Still in the publisher's shrink-wrap. Fine/as new. A retelling of the tales of the Brothers Grimm, illustrated with Shaun Tan's sculptures.

The American novelist and dramatist Booth Tarkington was a multi-Pulitzer Prize winner. Elizabeth Trotter was the author's literary assistant, researcher, contributor to The Atlantic magazine in the 1920s, and the dedicatee of Tarkington's Wanton Mally (1932).

Publisher's brown cloth with gilt titles to spine. Toning to edges and endpapers, otherwise crisp and clean internally. Moderate handling to cloth, with rubbing and toning to spine. Good. A presentation copy from the lady mentioned principally in the author's acknowledgements as the main driver behind the publication of this book, which concerns twelve important English portraits from the Stuart and Georgian dynasties.
