The boards are in very good condition with very little wear, scratch mark to rear, corners slightly bumped. The corners are sound.

Numerous illustrations and a Folding map which has been taped at the folds. Dust marked and rough to top of text block otherwise mostly in good condition.

Red cloth over boards with gilt lettering to front and spine. 130 Coloured illustrations, 140 B&W illustrations to text; coloured illustrations are bright and clean and beautifully created. Pages and binding are in good order, no major defects. Minor issues include previous owners inscriptions, light tanning and thumbing. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping, damage to top of spine. Sunning and faded to spine with Gilt lettering faded; Gilt lettering to front bright.

Dust Jacket Condition: Good protected by film which has been taped down leaving adhesive marks on corresponding pages. First Edition.Pages generally all clean and binding tight apart from title page which is coming away from binding.
