Description:
New York: Harcourt, Brace & World, 1965. Later Printing. Cloth. Near fine/very good. Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a later printing from the Harcourt, Brace & World publishing.. Octavo, 91pp, [2]. Beige cloth boards, title stamped in brown on cover. Text in French. Light dust along top edge of text block. Internally clean, free of marks or notations. Publisher's dust jacket with $4.95 on front flap, light sunning to spine, faint foxing to covers, a very good example. The original publisher of Le Petit Prince was Reynal & Hitchcock of New York. They were acquired by Harcourt, Brace & Company which continued to publish Le Petit Prince, but did not update the copyright date, making it difficult to determine later editions. In the 1960's, Harcourt merged with World Publishing, changing the company's name to Harcourt, Brace & World, which allows us to date this copy of Le Petit Prince to the post-1960 merger.
