A book of drawings and color plates of assorted drawing from the Danish artist Ebbe Sadolin, with forward and text by Lars Rostrup Boysen, in Danish. Stated date of 1946, Small folio in wraps, with a bit of wear to the top edge and bottom front corner, not affecting images at all. Some pages, mainly of the pencil drawings, are browning. Plates are images of Copenhagen, some landscapes, a number of portraits including several nudes. A lovely collection, otherwise unavailable in the U.S.

A nice copy of this biography of the great pianist. 17 pages of b&w photos, also includes discography of the artist. Apparent US first, no edition stated. VG with a little browning to pages and darkening to paste downs and endpapers. Jacket VG in protective mylar, with some wear and slight chipping to head of spine. Internally clean, binding sound.

A couple of small tears to jacket, a bit of browning around jacket edges, and some staining near the lower front edge of jacket. Book NF, with only small stain to front endpaper and two neat pen marks indicating favorite quotations. Illustrations bright/unfaded.

Small closed tear to the back of the jacket. A classic from the Illinois legend and multiple Pulitzer winner.

Girard Kansas: Haldeman-Julius Company, 1926. Soft cover. Very Good. 32mo - over 4 - 5" tall. One of the extremely widely sold "little blue books" from an enterprising Kansas publisher. The series included all manner of fiction and non-fiction, sold cheaply at all sorts of stores. Sanger is best known as an advocate for contraception, but that is not touched upon here. Instead, this is certainly one of the first widely distributed publications to bring a frank discussions of puberty, masturbation, sex, pregnancy and childbirth, venereal disease, and menopause to the broader American public. This small pamphlet is (of course) blue, with some toning and staining to the covers, and a small tear to the top rear, with browned pages. Still, beyond that, for its age a quite good copy of a book printed so cheaply that its survival was not widely expected.

World Publishing/Forum Books, 1944. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Freeman, Don. Stated first printing, February, 1944. Reprint of the Harcourt Brace edition from 1940, in very nice condition. Book is tight and clean, with the lovely full-color dust jacket art reproduced as frontispiece. Jacket is browning and spine has rather severe soiling or browning, hard to tell due to the age/wartime nature of the paper. Jacket has minor wear and chipping to corners but is in very good condition overall.
