Stated "Popular Edition" and over all a good solid copy of a classic work by a Polish author. The letter facsimile by the author is bound in the book discouraging other companies from publishing the book. One volume edition, from which a successful film was made. Previous owner's last name in ink in upper right corner of front free endpaper. A bit of spine end rubbing, buy minimal. A signed label by the artist on the verso of the dust jacket indicates that the dust jacket is a FACSIMILE as well as a indicated discreetly on the rear jacket flap. Nicely done.
