Jan Van Raay describes an event to take place at the 9th Annual Avant Garde Festival on Saturday, October 28, 1972 on the side-wheeler steamer "Alexander Hamilton" at the South Street Seaport Museum. Van Raay describes the event as her creating a photographic record of the events on that day and how her very identidy becomes tied up with her process. In near fine condition. Scarce ephemera.

Laid into this copy is an original black and white photograph of a 1973 Volkswagon Karman Ghia (labeled in pencil on the verso of the photograph). The photo comes in an original mailing envelope which was mailed to the inscribee.

Edited by Miller, Sorkin and Willima Carlos Williams who contributes a story to each issue. All in uniformly clean very good condition. Featuring work by Joseph Vogel, Benjamin Appel, Miriam Allen de Ford, Bruno Fischer, Alfred Morang and, of course, Williams. Individual issues of Blast come to market on occasion, but complete sets, especially in condition, are truly rare. OCLC holdings are scattered with only a few institutions appearing to own complete sets.

Hugely influential radio station that championed the hill country music of the Ozarks. Folded for mailing with postage stamp on the back page. Handwritten address also on the rear page. Paper toning else a very nice example. With notes on programming, columns, advertisements, article on Korn-A-Krackin on the front page. Any early issues of this publication are now quite scarce.
