Corners and folds rubbed on each volume, small tears and chips at the head and tail of each spine, no loss of text, spines slightly sunned, none of the jackets are price clipped, all priced at 25s net and all jacket front flaps are correct and state "second edition

Size octavo, 8.75" tall, 459, 372, 487 pages. Green hard covers with elaborate heavy gilt design over both covers and the spine, designed by Francis Mosley. Vignette within a circle to each of the front covers. Green end-papers printed with maps in darker green ink. Burgundy slipcase with large gilt title and border of runes along the top and bottom edges on one of the larger sides of the slipcase. The slipcase is in near fine condition with one of the outer corners bumped, otherwise fine. The books are all in fine condition, very clean inside and out, all volumes. With illustrations by Ingahild Grathmer, drawn by Eric Fraser.
