The prior owner/collector's notes, which appear on a loose slip and are also fairly lightly pencilled on the first endsheet read as follows, "Ralph J. $65.00, Goldsmith 7961, Hanson 5686, Hollander 1376, Kress 4671." There is an erased note first pastedown. Verso of last endhseet has several letters darkly pencilled, small pencilled notation last pastedown. Below the blank last endsheet's pencilled letters is a chip of paper out of the book's field, about the size of a thumbprint. Covers (esp. top/bottom spine) have some edge abrasion. Some mild lightening of the front occurred in cleaning, hard to see. As of this time we have the 1947, '49, '50, '51, '53 Yearbooks of The University of Illinois, "The Illio" on the shelf, condition and price vary slightly. All have some scuff and trace cover soil, mild, clearly used, but in working with them for 2 hours I have seen no marking and no hinge gapping or other major structural issues. They are all very heavy, but each can ship at our standard domestic media mail rate. TRM, "The Virtue of Selfishness", "Philosophy-Who Needs It", and "We the Living" are in crisp, newish Signet paperbacks. The other books include "Night of January 16th". "The Early Ayn Rand","Anthem," and an extremely ugly copy of "Objectivism from A to Z", both with a worn, torn covers and stains. Again the Signets are lovely, Obj. A to Z is frightfully rough. Text in Danish. Since my grasp of Danish (nonexistant) is flimsy it may have been done in English with a title I do not recognize. Strong trace cover edgewear, bit of age darkening, not a pretty paperback copy, but sturdy, spine uncreased. Clean and unmarked excepting erasure of old price inside last cover. Fascinating M.C. Pictorial boards are clean with just a hint of bumping in their fields. Back endsheets have a fleck or two. Jacket has the odd scuff and scar, no soiling, no tears.
