Description:
Paris: Les Marchands de Nouveautes au Palais-Royal, 1826. 32mo, pp. 112; bound with: Lagarde, M.-Alexis, Biographie des Ministeres depuis la Restauration. Paris, chez Les Marchands de Nouveautes au Palais-Royal, 1826. pp. [2], 119, [1], 30; 2 volumes in 1, together in quarter brown calf over blue patterned paper-covered boards, gilt title direct on gilt- and blind-decorated spine; joints rubbed. The first title is an alphabetical biographical listing of members of France's Chambre des Pairs (Chamber of Peers), similar to Britain's House of Lords; the second is a similar listing of the ministers of the government after the Bourbon restoration, that period of French history following the fall of Napoleon in 1814 until the July Revolution of 1830. Neither of these appears to be an annual volume.
