This is a collection of what were considered Hull's best tricks and was published after his death in the early 1950ies. Tricks appear to be mainly card along with some mental tricks, cigarette tricks and others. It contains appx. 50 color plates as well as numerous black and white plates. Also included is his calling card with a Geneva address. This book is from the Library of John J. Payne another well known artist who's works are currently selling well at auction. His "From the library of" is on the title page.

Baldwin was a locomotive pioneer, a Philadelphia industrialist, inventor, and a true American. Starting as a apprenticed Jeweler he so grew tried of making what he called gee-gaws that he decied to team up with a machinist and wood engraver named Mason. He put his skills to use improving the publishers art on book covers. This lead to manufacture of copper cylinders for printing calico as they could be rolled on almost any material. In 1829 a locomotive was imported from England and the rest is history when Baldwin was asked to produce a scale model for manufacture. B&W illustrations, also photos and illustrations pasted to pages, 32 pages.
