Raised leather bands on spine with fine gold adornments surrounding title and author. Volume 1 states 'Vols. I-II' and Volume II states 'Vols. III-IV', defining order of the rebound pages. Red/blue/cream marbled page block edges. Overall there is scuffing to boards and wear to the edges of boards from shelfwear per usual. There are some small scratches throughout the red cloth of each volume from age. Bumping to corners and top/bottom of spines have left wear with little cardboard exposed.
