Gollancz. London, Gollancz, 2010-2014. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. Three [3] volumes. Fine condition. All three books signed. An excellent trilogy. Rajaniemi pours all his ideas into the first novel, but manages to continue the story without letting the quality slip. Volume one is signed by the author thus: "Hannu Rajaniemi / 30th September 2010 / All because of the thief / (p14)". Volume two is signed thus: "5\9\2012 / Hannu Rajaniemi", and is numbered 77/100. Volume three is signed thus: "Hannu Rajaniemi \ 6/7/2014", and is numbered 77/100. As far as we know there was no limited edition of the first volume, at least not of the first issue. The first issue was lacking the dedication left, and was reportedly pulped though I can find no reference to the pulping (it seems more likely that there was a second impression with the correction). In Broderick and Di Filippo's SF the 101 Best Novels 1985-2010 [286]. [6464, Hyraxia Books]. 2010-2014 . Fine. Hardcover. 1st ... Read more

Dwifa's Curse - A Tale of the Stone Age

Blue Wolf [Joyce Reason]

  • Edition: 1st Edition
  • Book condition: Near Fine
  • Quantity available: 1
London: Robert Scott. London, Robert Scott, n.d. [1921 BL]. First Edition. First Impression. Lost Race. A nice copy in the rare dust jacket. Pleasently illustrated with chapter vignettes and some full page illustrations (unattributed). Not really a lost race novel, given the prehistoric setting (pretty much everything would be lost race), but sits will within the Lost Race collective. Bleiler has Blue Wolf as a pseudonym of Robert Scott, various other sources name Joyce Reason. Reason seems more likely given the subject matter, and Robert Scott is noted as the publisher of the book (and others), so probably just a mistake. In Bleiler under Pre-historic Life [p26], Locke's state A [Vol I, 937]. Provenance: George Locke. Condition is near fine, jacket largely complete and in good shape with a couple of chips, the larger being to the spine. A little offsetting to the endpapers. [5953, Hyraxia Books]. n.d. [1921 BL] . Near Fine. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1921.
