Published by subscription, it was issued in three different bindings simultaneously, each to fit the subscriber's pocketbook. The most expensive was bound in full morocco, the next in red cloth with a portrait of McDonald pasted on, and the third and cheapest, the one most commonly seen, in blue cloth.
