This is the quarto version (alphabetical letters appear at the bottom of every 4th page as a guide to the bookbinder), 11.75" x 7.75", of Alexander Pope's iconic masterpiece of marketing and poetic achievement. You may see this volume bundled (even in upscale auction houses such as Bauman's) as volume one of four volumes, but that is an anachronism! Pope gambled on an audacious move in 1717 by publishing his "Collected Works" at the raw young age of 29.
