Slight warping to most pages at spine edge but this does not affect any of the maps and may be a production fault as there is no sign of water damage to the binding although there is some marking and very minor damage to the red cloth-covered boards. Newcastle: Thomas & James Pigg, 1857. Full-Leather. Fair. Minor rubbing and some wear to black bevelled leather gilt boards, both of which have separated from the text block, some foxing throughout but otherwise the pages are clean and tight. This version seems first to have appeared in 1775, where it had been examined and compared with the original charter by Cuthbert Adamson, the then Master of Trinity House in Newcastle. This printed version is printed in black letter type.
