Contains six attractive 7" x 9 3/4" full-page chromo-lithograph drawings of horse-drawn Buckeye farm equipment. A picture of the manufacturing plant in Springfield is provided. The company manufactures Buckeye broad-cast seeders, sunbeam cultivators, spring tooth cultivators, hay rakes, cider mills, etc. Pictured is the "Senior Latest Improved Buckeye Cider Mill and Press." A "Junior" model is also manufactured but with only half the capacity of the "Senior" model and is much smaller in size. Phineas P. This brochure was reprinted through at least 1924. Unlike later editions, the contents are printed on cream paper with decorative green borders. San Francisco and Northern California destinations are most prominently highlighted in this version. Illustrations include the capitol building, Mt. Shasta, Chinatown, beach scenes, street scenes, scenic views, missions, fishing scenes, etc. One page map at rear showing the Union Pacific routes west of the Mississippi. Minor smudge to the front panel, with some light toning and edgewear; otherwise very good.

This a brochure to promote the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's Hotel Playa de Cortes, a desert resort by the sea, built in 1935. The hotel is located at Guaymas on the West Coast of Mexico, on the shore of picturesque Bacochibampo Bay near the Gulf of California. There's plenty of recreation including riding, swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, sailing, hunting, etc. A map of the West Coast of Mexico route is provided by the Southern Pacific. A very good copy of an uncommon brochure.

An interesting exposure to the big trees of northern California with Sequoias and Redwoods shown in various groves and with impressive comparative views. Some of the photographs have been done by Charles Weidner of San Francisco. Over-sized wrappers are lightly soiled and lightly chipped along the fore-edges else a very good copy.

On the right side of the map are all the ports visited along with a brief sketch of each. A small tear along the spine fold has been repaired by a paper conservator, else near fine with the map in fine, unused condition.

The timetable has engraved vignettes and ornate lettering by E. Schultze. This is an attractive museum quality timetable and one of the rarest and finest early Southern Pacific railroad pieces that we have handled. It's in near fine condition and 130 years old.
