She was also active in the Underground Railroad. Mr. Livingston is a direct descendant of Martha Wright; Sherry Penney, married to Livingson, is a Professor at the University of Massachusetts. In addition to the text, there are several b&w etichings of Pepys and his wife. Very bright title page for each volume. Gilt edges on top of pages are also bright and clean. Some wear on covers of volumes 3 and 4, while covers of volumes 1 and 2 are in very good condition.Because of weight, shipping cost will be $10.

Although this book is in good condition, a previous owner has underlined or marked passages of interest to her.

This copy is basically in great shape except for some visible water damage on the back cover and on the base of the spine. The spine is slightly faded from sunning but the type and black box are sharp.
