Handsomely bound in three-quarter leather, with marbled endpapers and all edges gilt. Includes an autobiographical piece, four poems and two stories by O'Brian. Illustrated with a color frontis photograph and six black-and-white photographs of O'Brian, a profile of the H.M.S. Surprise and various black-and-white decorations.According to Arthur Cunningham the edition was produced in five different toned half-calf bindings, each with different endpapers - 10 each. 20 copies were given to the contributors and others and only 30 copies were offered for sale. About very good with spine and edges toned to light brown but spine label still quite bright. Lacking the scarce dust jacket.

Endpapers a trifle dark and about an inch of an offset line on half title page, otherwise fine in an unchipped dust jacket showing a little age and a few tiny soiled spots but very bright and nice with the barest wear on corners and spine ends.

In her early 20's, O'Day was one of the brightest stars on the music scene but just ten years later she was battling drug addiction, broke, and in jail in California.
