Red board with gilt lettering. Board are stained and the lettering is fading. Little edge wear except for on upper and lower spine. Ex-owner's name inside front cover and gift inscription from mother on ffep. Ffep is torn from edge of book almost halfway. There is looseness at this point both front and back and at page 105. The book could use rebinding. The illustrated frontispiece is loose. Page are tight and clean. No foxing speaks to the quality of the paper used. Illustrated (3 plus the frontispiece). With some restoration the book could make a good private library addition.
