A pro-Franco, pro-Nationalist perspective on Spain. "The book covers the history of Spain from the period of Primo de Rivera's dictatorship down to the present day. It is not so much a vindication of the Franco regime as such, as of the practical Christianity which inspires it." A Near Fine copy with some dust-soiling and light rubbing to spine ends. The dust jacket is rubbed and soiled; chipping to spine ends with two chunks missing to lower rear panel. Good.

Multiple cities: Direct Action Network, 2000. Tabloid format printed in red and black on newsprint, 8 pp, illus. Bilingual. Some crinkling and light toning to newprint, smudge to rear wrapper, VG. From the editorial statement: "This broadsheet was conceived to aid all direct action efforts at the Democratic and Republican political conventions, Summer 2000." Nice color centerfold poster, articles on the prison industrial complex, the demand for "real democracy," etc.

[Illinois?]: Federation of Klans, 1995. A flyer for a Federation of Klans rally held in Greenville, Illinois on April 29, 1995. The rally featured three speakers: Illinois Grand Dragon Basil Sitzes, Illinois Grand Titan Jim Norton and Missouri Grand Dragon, Raymond Owens, as well as the Klan's ritual cross lighting ceremony. A map and directions are included at the bottom of the flyer, information that would not be included today due to security reasons. We previously sold a duplicate of this flyer with '1995' penciled to the verso, which is our basis for the event's date. Photocopied on one side of a 14" x 8½" sheet. A fine copy.

n.p.: [The Office], 1960. First edition. Six corner-stapled, mimeographed sheets (8 ½" x 11"), 10 pp. A couple of faint droplets to the top of cover sheet, light wear, but about Near Fine. One copy in OCLC at Univ. of Utah. "This Fact Sheet reviews the background and events of the Korean conflict, some of the lessons it taught us about the aims and techniques of communism, the origin of the Code of Conduct for U. S. fighting men, and the situation in Korea today, 10 years after the outbreak of hostilities.".

London: E. Lahr, 1931. 12mo; stapled, newsprint wrappers, 12 pp. This edition limited to 2,247,365 copies with each copy signed by the Author with a rubber stamp. O'Flaherty's short, playful attack on capitalism, whereby the unemployed would be substituted for pets of the upper class. The publisher's notice on the front cover promises a free copy to the genuine unemployed while "Millionaires and others" are charged £1. O'Flaherty was a founding member of the Communist Party of Ireland, although he quit the Party and returned to Catholicism late in his life. He collaborated on numerous publications with the German-born anarchist, Charles Lahr, who founded the short-lived Ferrer Adult School with fellow anarchist, Guy Aldred, before establishing the Progressive Bookshop and Blue Moon Press. Allahabad: Indian Catholic Truth Society, 1919. Second edition, revised. Brown wrappers printed in black ( ), xvi, 49, iv pp. Chipping to spine ends, small ex-libris ticket to front wrapper, faint circular stain and some light rubbing and soiling, but VG. One copy in WorldCat at the National Library of New Zealand. Scarce. A doctrinal disputation between between a member of the Catholic Enquiry Guild and the Rev. Norman Bennett, of Jhansi, who, in a Circular Letter (reprinted at the beginning of the booklet), accuses the Roman Church in India of "making for the children of the Anglo-Indian Community, especially, and more particularly for Church of England children." O'Gorman employs a variety of scripture to counter Bennett's claim that the Catholic Church's theological errors make them unfit to teach Protestant children.

Amherst, MA: W.E.B. Du Bois Foundation, Inc, 1993. A beautiful magazine published for the October 4, 1993 tribute to the pioneering civil rights activist W.E.B. Du Bois held at Carnegie Hall. Edited by the writer-activist, Rob Okun, the program features a chronology of Du Bois' life, excerpts from his writings and speeches, testimonials from those who knew and worked with him, many photographs, and much more. The second half of the program features advertisements and statements of tribute. Glossy, stapled, illustrated wrappers (11" x 8 ½"), 48 p., illustrated. Some rubbing to wrappers and faint foxing to a few pages, but an about near fine copy. Less than a dozen copies held institutionally.

New York: Workers Library Publishers. First edition. Stapled, photo-illustrated wrappers, 40 pp. Very light rubbing and toning to wrappers, staples oxidized, but about Near Fine. Provides a sketch of Engels' life and his contributions to Dialectical and Historical Materialism, Dictatorship of the Proletariat, Internationalism, etc. Published by the Communist Party's pamphlet imprint.

Bakersfield, California: Conservative Viewpoint, 1966. A speech given by Dr. Revilo P. Oliver before the Daughters of the American Revolution convention in March 1959, in which he provides details on the shadowy Communist conspiracy and its infiltration and control over the U.S. government. Oliver added 14 pages of documentary notes expanding on the means by which Communist have infiltrated all aspects of American life. Published and with an introduction by the right wing broadcaster and publisher, Richard Cotten, who collaborated with Oliver on many of his publications. Later reprinted by a number of far right publishing imprints. Stapled, glossy wrappers (8 ½" x 5 ½"), 26 p., photograph of Oliver. Some soiling and surface abrasions to the wrappers and fore edge; stapled rusted; text clean and unmarked. In SIBA.

Omaha: Congress of Freedom, 1959. An address delivered by Classics professor and right wing ideologue, Revilo P. Oliver, at the 8th Annual Congress of Freedom, Colorado Springs, CO, on April 9, 1959. Oliver tackles a number of anti-Communist fears: progressive education, Communist Front organizations, control of psychology and psychiatry, subversion in the armed forces, Felix Frankfurter, etc. A single sheet of coated stock printed in blue & folded in thirds to make six panels (11" x 8 ¼") . Old creases from mailing.

Venice, CA: Everywoman Publishing Company, 1971. A hastily written survey of homophile novels and their depiction of women as "physically disgusting, mentally vapid, emotinally unresponsive, and spiritually dead" "faghags, prostitutes, hangers-on, nymphomaniacs, bovine housewives, mean bitches, ambitious social climbers, and parasites" (p. 20). Varda One was the pseudonym for Varda Murrell who co-founded the feminist newspaper "Everywoman" with Ann Herschfang. Side-stapled, mimeographed 11" x 8 ½" variously colored sheets, printed rectos only, [2], 25 p., bibliography. A fine copy.

New York: Boni and Liveright, 1919. First edition. Octavo. Green, black-stamped paper over white cloth; xvii, 135 pp. Some regrettable foxing to spine cloth, else about Fine; offsetting between pastedown and front endpaper. O'Neil (1896-1940) was a poet and playwright and later went to Hollywood to pen screenplays before dying young.

Nuneaton: Christian Watch. First edition. Perfect-bound paperback; 78 pp. The author asserts that Britain has so turned away from God that he's punishing the nation via homosexuality, rock music, Islam, the New Age Movement, etc. She's become her own worst enemy. A Fine copy.

Lagos, Nigeria: International Secretariat of the Pan African Movement, 1994. The inaugural issue of this Pan African newsletter, which was the short-lived organ of the Pan African Movement. All of the content appears to be by the organization's chairman, the Nigerian, Naiwu Osahon. This includes his keynote address presented to the First Canadian Pan African Conference on June 26, 1993, updates from the movement in Canada, Nigeria, the USA, & Zimbabwe, a review by the author (?) of his own book, God is Black, and other organizational updates. We can find no evidence that any other issues were published. The organization's U.S. headquarters was in San Diego. Two unbound sheets folded (8 ½" x 11 ¾"), 8 p. A Fine copy. Although a record for the newsletter exists in OCLC, no libraries appear to have holdings.

Munich: Press Bureau of the Antibolshevik Bloc of Nations, 1956. An issue of the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations' monthly bulletin. The ABN was founded in 1943 by Alfred Rosenberg's Ostministerium in support of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. The organization became one of the largest post-war, international anti-Communist groups and was riddled with anti-Semites, Nazi apologists, militant anti-Communists and nationalists of every stripe. It was in part founded by both the CIA and MI6 during the Cold War. The ABN was led by Yaroslav Stetsko for most of its existence and was disbanded in 1996. This issue includes an open letter accusing the Soviet Union of barbarity in its treatment of dissidents; Determined Solidarity with the Hungarian Fight for Liberation; Americans for A.B.N.; Veli Kajum Khan visits Turkey; Bolshevism a Russian phenomenon; How Soviet Russia occupied Estonia; and On the Threshold of the Atomic Age.
