London: Skeffington and Son Ltd, 1951. First edition. Octavo. Blue cloth stamped in silver to spine; map endpapers; 199 pp.; seven photographic plates; dust jacket. A pro-Franco, pro-Nationalist perspective on Spain. "The book covers the history of Spain from the period of Primo de Rivera's dictatorship down to the present day. It is not so much a vindication of the Franco regime as such, as of the practical Christianity which inspires it." A Near Fine copy with some dust-soiling and light rubbing to spine ends. The dust jacket is rubbed and soiled; chipping to spine ends with two chunks missing to lower rear panel. Good.
