The second part contains the family correspondence of Christiaan Sepp, 1868-1973, seconded to the KNIL in 1868-1873 and died in the first Aceh expedition.

II,90,(1) pp.Frans Naerebout (1748 - 1818) was born into a poor fishing family and sailed off the Zeeland coast as a fisherman and pilot. He became famous when on 24 and 25 July 1779 the frigate ship Woestduyn, coming from Batavia, approached the Vlissingen roadstead under the guidance of an inexperienced pilot. The ship ran into a sandbank. When a VOC rescue vessel refused to sail due to the stormy weather conditions, Naerebout sailed to the Woestduyn together with his brother Jacob and six other brave Vlissingers.
