From a total edition of only 20 copies, THIS IS THE ONLY COPY OFFERED FOR SALE, justified in pencil by Martin: "Seul exemplaire mis dans le commerce." 4to. Contents loose as issued. Complete with all 9 plates by the Johannot Brothers and others after Deveria. Large 8vo. ENTIRELY UNCUT IN THE ORIGINAL BOARDS. Some superficial scratching to boards, sunning to spine, and a little bit of damage to spine ends. Internally, a little spotting. Still, structurally sound and a very good set overall. 1952. A sheet of wove paper (10 x 12 cm) inscribed and SIGNED by Jean Nohain (dated July 18, 1952). From the exemplary collection of maître d'hôtel Maurice Guérin, who worked from the 1930s to the 1960s at top restaurants in the South of France and aboard the S.S. Normandie. Minor adhesive remains on verso, else in excellent condition.
