OCLC shows no holdings. No auction records. Jóse de Jesús Dávila y Prieto Jóse Maria Martinez were Congressional representatives for Nuevo Leon in 1845. Here are printed a series of letters they wrote regarding their inability to travel to attend the 1845 session of Congress without payment of their travel expenses as they were promised. Reflective of the turmoil in Mexico during this period immediately prior to the start of Mexican War. Prieto was later named the first Mayor of Monterrey and in 1847 published a book on astronomy.

Frontispiece is an original photograph of the statue dedicated to Cochran. Decorative initial capitals. [21 leaves,] Cover shows some wear. Original glassine dustjacket present but in pieces. He was deputy United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Kentucky from 1878 until 1880. He moved across the Ohio River to Cincinnati for a brief period in 1881 and worked as an agent for the Lancashire and the Phoenix insurance companies. After the downfall of Napoleon Bonaparte, King Ferdinand VII of Spain refused to adopt the liberal Spanish Constitution of 1812 and in 1820 faced a rebellion in favour of a constitutional monarchy, led by Rafael del Riego y Nuñez. The King was captured and detained at Cádiz, where the Cortes, the Spanish parliament assembled. Very good.Handwritten report addressed to the Minister of War stating that the recipient, probably an officer in Texas, has received a list of deserters from the Battalion #12 based in Bejar [Béxar] He informs the Minister he has given orders for the arrest of the deserters. The Minister of War at this time was Gomez Pedraza. San Antonio de Béxar Presidio, the center of Spanish defense in western Texas, was founded by Martín de Alarcón on May 5, 1718, on the west side of the San Antonio River. Aside from Indian defense, Béxar Presidio became involved in hostilities during the Mexican and Texan wars of independence. Ousted for the first time from the city as a result of Gen. OCLC shows no holdings for this Hacienda. The Hacienda San Isidro, Chihuahua, Mexico is listed in Cochran, The Haciendas of Mexico (1886) p. 22. This is "a list of plantations and principal farms in the Republic of Mexico …." Proprietor: Senor Avellano. Post Office Huejuquilla. The map shows 1500 acres farm lands. 350 acres new farm and ranch land. San Jose Farm of 474 acres. New lands opened in 1888 equal 150 acres. As the map is in English, the owners were likely American. The famous Hearst ranch Babicora was also in Chihuahua, Mexico. Nineteenth Century hacienda maps are rare.
