This is a lovely illustrated edition from 1925, a "Gift Edition" of the Harper and Brothers printing of 1917, which is a very desirable edition, but not a first edition of any kindIt has 450 Pages. The boox cover has faded considerably to a very nice and clean antique patina.Black cloth over boards w/ paste-on full front color plate. Former owners wrote their names and inscriptions inside on the same blank endpaper 90 years apart. Stamped spine titles. 13 B&W and color plates. Mark Twain's 20th century visitor from Connecticut finds himself in Camelot, King Arthur's world many centuries before. Twain's opening Prologue, Word of Explanation, and end notes, A Postscript by Clarence, and Final P.S. by M.T. enhance the storyline.
