Description:
New Haven, Connecticut: Yale University Press, 1917. In Very Good condition, bound in the publisher's gray boards. Paper labels affixed to both the front and the spine panels. 71pps. First printing: November, 1917. There is rubbing wear to the tips and the spine-ends and the spine-label is sun-darkened and has touches of wear (still legible). Internally, there is minor foxing and browning; most of this is in the area of the endpapers. Also, there is some slight revelation of the webbing at the front hinge; the hinge is, nonetheless, strong with the endpapers over the hinge still three-quarters closed. The text is, overall, quite clean and the binding is tight. No previous ownership markings. Having gone into some detail with the mentioned flaws, this is -- be assured -- a nice copy. After 'Songs For A Summer Day', the author's first regularly published book -- and one of only 750 copies printed.
