2016. AN/AN. This is Emily with her peg doll. The were created and hand painted by Heather Maciak for the 2016 Annual Conference of the United Federation of Doll Clubs. The 2016 meeting was held in Washington, DC, and featured a major exhibition of dolls, books and ephemera relating to Tasha Tudor. The exhibit was created by Margaret Kincaid, herself a descendant of the Tudor family. Emily is 8 ½" high with red hair. She is in a mint green dress with a white voile apron, green cross stitch border. Emily boasts white leather high top shoes and carries her peg doll close to her. Signed by Heather Maciak on her backside.

Some show details of the Webster, NH, house. Tudor drew one self-portrait of herself in the illustrations. A highly desirable and uncommon book found in Massachusetts.

The covers are brighter than usual in that the dust jacekt is still present. Some tape residue on covers. Seven ex-library notations through out. Residue from a card pocket. There is light interior soiling. Library notes from Josephine County Library, Grants Pass, Oregon. Rare in the Guild dust jacket.

This is the later of two versions with the front statement: Open May 30th - December 20th from 9 to 5 daily. December 21 - May 29th - by appointment only. "...in 1954 a part of this home was remodeled to serve as a store and doll museum... we expanded our Christmas Card line in 1954..." The text is much expanded from the earlier version. Includes a hand drawn map on the back from Route 202 through Hopkinton village and north to the McCready house in Webster, NH.

The binding hinges are a tough canvas which has discolored a small edge of the paper exposed to the cloth. A Very Good copy with the panarama of the Webster, NH, farm painted as the endpapers. A good view into Tasha's world 60 years ago. Something was blacked out inside the front cover, 2" mark.a.

Tasha Tudor. i-ii, [1-2], 3-48, [49-50]pp. Front cover imprinted with beagle playing with ball, above the title. A FINE copy whose dust jacket has protected it. The dust jacket has light soiling and rubbing at the spine and edges, but no tears or missing pieces. A very nice copy overall, considering the age of the book and popularity of Tasha Tudor's books.

Tudor, Tasha. 49 pp. Endpapers of this first collaboration between husband-author and wife-illustrator features a view of the McCready's Webster, NH, farmstead from the south pasture. A view into Tasha's world in the 1950s. The English reprint followed the American first edition by 7 years. The lower right corner of front flap seems always to be price clipped. The pearl gray paper over board covers carry no printing. The dust jacket shows light wear: rubbing along edges, light soiling and chipping at the corners.
