Description:
This large, lovely photography book documents a drive of 18,000 cattle across the western desert of Australia. There are over 200 photographs of the people, animals and terrain involved. Few copies seem to be available. This one is signed by the photographer, something not mentioned in any of the others found online. This volume is nearly flawless, with the exception of an area along the bottom edge that seems to have had a small run-in with a little bit of water. The affected area measures about 6 cm wide by 2 cm or less deep. Little water staining can be seen, but the ripples are obvious when you run your fingers along the bottom edge of a page. Hard to see with the eye in most cases, but the ripples can be observed in photo #7. This book will ship at over four pounds (or about two kilos). We will ship this one with insurance. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

Description:
No dust jacket. Fabric over the spine has taken its leave at some point in the past 160+ years. The remaining cover is quite worn, of an indeterminate color due to many stains. A small group of pages, including the cover page and frontispiece, has come loose. The remaining pages are tight and intact, with a lot of spotting and many very dark, yet still readable pages. This book is four volumes in one, covering many hundreds of years of English history. An understandably rare book after all these years. This book will ship at about three pounds. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

Description:
A very simple learn-the-alphabet book. In it, the letters are turned into the illustrations of a word starting with each letter. For instance, the letter K turns into a Kite. And that takes up all of two facing pages. 26 letters means 52 pages. The book has been well used with some creases and bent corners, most significantly to the lower right front corner and many of the pages that follow. You can see some of this in the photo. All the pages are intact and unmarked.

Description:
No dust jacket. Light green fabric with a decorated front cover and white print on the spine (mostly worn off). Mild edgewear at the corners and the spine. A glue break at the title page (photo #3) and a long tear at page 23 (photo #5). Otherwise, the stitching is still intact, albeit a little stretched, and the pages appear clean and unmarked. A quite rare book, in its earliest forms. It appears that the first was published by Bobbs-Merrill Company, followed by this A. L. Burt edition, with the same cover art. While there are plenty of reprints, facsimilies and PODs, the early forms are scarce.

Little wear to the book. Black fabric covered boards with gilt print stamped on the spine and a little fraying at the front right corners. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. The dust jacket has the usual crimps and ripples along the edges and a hole from a scrape on the lower front right. It also shows discoloration on the front and spine. A short book with a large number of photographs. May have a slightly musty odor, but I am trying to deal with that.
