Dover , 1979. Soft cover. Very Good. A fairly scarce bit of math and logic puzzles of the sort popularized by Martin Gardner. A good tight paperback binding, with a little wear and a small ding to the front cover, and a little discoloration/toning to rear. Importantly, UNMARKED by anyone who might have tried to take notes as they worked through the puzzles. Previously published as Mathematics on Vacation, this edition has corrections and a new preface by the author.

No jacket, assuming as issued as front pictorial cover featured full-color photo of Mr. Kennedy in the motorcade. This volume has "The Chicago Sun-Times" and "The Chicago Daily News" printed on the front boards -- were these printed as a giveaway for subscribers?? Can't tell, but for Kennedy buffs, this is an invaluable peek into the days of Nov 22-26, 1963. Amazing photographs, in both color and b/w, some that I'd not seen before, and wonderful copies of the eulogies given at the funeral, lists of foreign dignitaries in attendance, resoultions passed by Congress, etc. Book shows some soil to cover but is tight and in very good condition overall.

Cover illustration by Milo Winter is pasted to brown cloth boards with faded gilt lettering. No jacket as issued. Previous owner (child) has written a bold "I Like Jack" on the half-title page. Spine is cracked but pages remain securely bound. Internally the pages are mostly clean save for a stray pen or crayon mark and a few illustrations supplemented by previous owners' crayon shading. Excellent Santa/sleigh endpapers. Purchased in Hay-on-Wye, Wales. Potential/likely first--no other dates or printings noted (for other copies, later printings are stated).
