Five raised bands to spine with gilt title and floral pattern. Spine darkened. Some light shelf wear to head and foot of spine and top and bottom edges and occasional light spotting to margins of pages.Edges of page block marbled. A Very Good Tight Copy.

All edges uncut and with red marbled paper-covered boards with dark brown spines and corners, with gilt titles on spines. Volume 1 has tissue guarded frontis. and there is very little spotting to a few page edges. Top edges of page block dusty and fore edges yellowed. A Very Good Plus Matched Set. Amsterdam: Chez Daniel Elsevier, 1671 pp.911. Ex-library with light red/orange sturdy cloth binding with cream endpapers and brown cloth reinforcement at the hinges. The black leather title label on the spine is tooled in gilt and below, in gold, is '2ND ED', a library class number and the date 1671. The spelling of the author's name as Larrogue has been copied from the miss-spelling on the title page. Although this comes from a library there are no library stamps throughout the book except for the words NORFOLK COUNTY LIBRARY WITHDRAWN FOR SALE stamped on the modern front endpaper and a single letter S in red on the verso of the title page. The unprinted page before the title page bears the name Vincent in brown ink and the more recent inscription 'Ex Libris / Tom Copeman / October 1914'. The verso has some neat pencilled notes on the author. Apart from the occasional odd spotting and some light age toning the overall condition is very good to fine.
