An attractive set in contemporary full tan calf bindings, boards diced calf within gilt rolls, spines with gilt decoration to panels and bands, gilt lettered. Spine gilding is a little faded and rubbed.. Each vol. tight and sound but with staining ( legibility unaffected ) to sections of the text in most vols. and heavy spotting/foxing to the last 14 leaves of Vol. 3. All joints are sound except the rear joint to Vol.3 which is cracked for about 3" from the foot of the board upwards. The board remains firmly attached.
