There are many absolutes about sex taught in the Bible and this book captures many of them. This is a 94-page easy-to-read paperback-FIRST EDITION. Description:
Like new! Looking for a solid Biblical Old Testament Introduction? Look no further! In this 528-page classic hardback, the revised edition, Gleason Archer approaches the study of the Old Testament from both the general and the specific point of view. Dealing first with issues over which many scholars debate, Archer offers evidence to support the conservative view of canonicity, historicity, inspiration, textual problems & higher criticism. The second section dissects each book of the Old Testament individually, presenting discussions of specific issues related to that particular book. Archer thoroughly covers such issues as: Biblical creationism, Noah's ark and the flood, authorship, chronology, language, style, and theme differences. A Survey of Old Testament Introduction is invaluable to students, Bible students, scholars, and laymen who want to understand the conservative position of Old Testament issues and are not afraid to examine critical views. Description:
Kids give this book 5 Stars! Within the covers of this book, the reader discovers a moving story of the strength and fragility of children in difficult situations, and of the power of imagination. Twelve-year-old Dawn is spending the summer on her aunt and uncle's farm while her mother recovers from a serious operation at home in Washington, D.C. Life in the country is very different from what Dawn is used to. She spends most of her free time practicing her curve ball and hanging out with Charlotte, who lives down the road. Together, the girls create an imaginary world: Planet Kid. It is special place, their own private hideaway, and no one else is allowed in without an invitation. As one seemingly carefree summer day rolls into another, however, the world of adults threatens to intrude. Issues of race, as well as Dawn's fears about her mother's illness, rise to the surface. Worst of all, Dawn begins to suspect that Charlotte's father is not merely strict with his family, but abusive. When Planet Kid… Read More

Extremely well-preserved and RARE and ready for You!
The publisher comments on the uniqueness of this commentary as well as the brilliant style of Leupold's writings: "The author's translations of the original text are often picturesquely striking, and his interpretation is both didactic and devotional. Topics such as these are considered: the different types of Psalms; the "I" in the Psalms as a reference to the congregation rather than the individual; the claim that practically all Psalms are liturgical"; saint and sinner in the Psalms; the imprecatory Psalms; the Messianic Psalms; the doctrines of the Psalms." One published reviewer wrote: "although it at times may seem a little dated, it really is a must-have. It is not as technical as some others, and rarely delves into Hebrew Grammar esoterica, it deals with the main issues well and clearly." One public review comments: 'Leupold is a conservative Lutheran scholar who has written several commentaries (Genesis, Ecclesiastes, Isaiah). While some… Read More

Description:
Don't let this pristine book get away from you. Interested in Old Testament prophecy/? Then grab this exciting book on 3 of the Minor Prophets! The back cover states: 'While God never reveals the exact moment when He will pour out His wrath, He does reveal for us, in the Bible, the conditions that are sure to bring His judgment upon a nation and its people. Every one of these conditions-or sins-was rampant at the time Judah experienced horrible judgment at the hands of its enemies. What's incredible is that the very conditions that led to Judah's downfall are all present in America today. You can explore what these conditions are in David Levy's book, When Prophets Speak of Judgment. In this fascinating overview of the Bible books of Habakkuk, Zephaniah, and Haggai, you'll discover that the atrocities committed by ancient Judah are strikingly similar to what we read in the headlines of today's newspapers When Prophets Speak of Judgment is an encouraging challenge for us to redeem the time as we move… Read More

Description:
When's the last time you were excited about the Old Testament? Reading and or studying any one of these three prophetic books will delight your spiritual heart and mind. Hosea, Amos, and Micah are listed among the Minor Prophets, but their messages were of major importance to the people of the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah. And they are just as important today. During the 8th century B.C., these prophets warned people that their evil deeds and rejection of God would surely bring His judgment. This brand new, well written and easy-to-read 222-page paperback, The Ruin and Restoration of Israel,
unmistakably shows that God not only exists, but that He does what He promises to do and that there is no escaping from Him. Using a normal, literal-grammatical hermeneutic, this outstanding commentary also paints a moving picture of God's deep love for the Jewish people. And just as He promised to judge them, which He did, He also promises to bless them in the future, which he surely will.

This is a brand NEW easy-to-read 92-page paperback on biblical prophecy written by a conservative scholar. Here is a summary found online: 'Nations are on a collision course that will culminate at Armageddon. In descriptive terms, Joel presented the destiny of the nations as they relate to Israel on the Day of the Lord. In this truly exciting commentary on one of the most neglected and misinterpreted books of the Bible, author David Levy, a Hebrew Christian, presents a concise, lucid, nontechnical exposition on such prophetic events as: -- The Day of the Lord-- True Repentance-- The Russian Invasion of Israel-- The Battle of Armageddon-- The Second Coming of Christ-- The Judgment of the Nations-- The Millennial Kingdom. Not only is this commentary clear and concise, but illustrated chapter outlines and graphic representations of the prophetic events give added insight into the timely and dynamic Book of Joel.'New!
