Adams, Jr., of the Pierpoint Morgan Library and the Grolier Club etc, who together with Elmer Adler of the Pynson Printers, was responsible for the production of the book].Signed by the author on the presentation page, though no name is written in the space provided for the presentee's name. Laid in is a Christmas card, bearing the printed legend: ''The Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year - Irene and MacKinlay Kantor''.Covers a bit rubbed at the edges. Very good indeed in remains of plain tissue wrapper.

The Roxburghe Club of San Francisco., 1929. First edition. Folded sheet of handmade paper. Inside is reproduced a drawing by the San Francisco artist Virgil Nahl of John Keats which he has reworked from a photograph of the poet's life mask made by Benjamin Robert Haydon in 1816. According to the explanatory text, Nahl has employed modern ''scientific methods of identification'' as a ''means of restoring the expression of life''. In other words Keats has been drawn with his eyes open, whereas for the life mask he had to keep them closed. Only eighty copies were printed.Slight creasing. Very good indeed.

Toronto., [c 1934?]. Silver bromide print measuring approximately 24 x 18 cm, a half-length portrait of the poet and playwright seated and wearing a heavy overcoat, signed in pencil by the photographer ''Violet Keene. Toronto'' in lower right corner. The photograph has been mounted at an early date inside a silk-lined green leatherette folder. Loosely inserted is a pencil sketch of the author on a torn and creased piece of tracing paper. Violet Keene Perinchief (1893-1987) was a British-born portrait photographer who worked under her maiden name. She learned her craft from the mother Minna Keene who was herself successful in the same field.The boards of the folder are a bit warped from damp, not affecting the photograph which is fine. An online search has found only one other portrait of Drinkwater by this photographer, that being in a different pose.
