Description:
Dusseldorf and New York: Kaldewey Press, 1982. First edition. Kaldewey, Gunnar A.. Oblong folio, 26 pages, 410 mm x 150 mm., bound in brushed aluminum plates with stainless steel hinges, glue perished, but a fine copy, in grey cloth clamshell box as issued (box corners worn). Printed in blue letterpress on a black offset background, each page has been individually sprayed to give the impression of cloud formations. The aluminum sides and exaggerated horizontal dimension give the book somewhat of the feeling of viewing clouds from inside an airplane. Gunnar Kaldeway's second artist book. One of a projected edition of 60 (30 English language copies and 30 German), however only about 40 copies were completed in total. Volz, Gunnar A. Kaldewey: Artist Books for a Global World, p. 25.
