Fine in fine dust jacket. Toby Peters looked at the glossy photograph. Yes that was Errol Flynn in the picture. And, yes, there was a girl with him... a very young girl. They were both birthday naked and seemed to be enjoying themselves. No wonder Flynn and Warner Brothers were nervous--if the photograph wasn't a fake, the studio's investment in the star was in serious jeopardy. Toby found the picture where he was supposed to find it, but he wasn't planning on getting hit on the head or to find a corpse when he awoke. The first full-length film adaptation of the DC Comic character Batman, originally planned as the pilot film for the television series (which aired on ABC from 1966 to 1968), the film was released shortly after the end of the series' first season and featured the original members of the television cast with the exception of Lee Meriwether, who replaced Julie Newmar as Catwoman. The Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, and Catwoman join forces to control the world with a dehydrator which reduces humans to dust. It is up to the Dynamic Duo to save the world. Set in Gotham City, shot in Los Angeles, California, the film was directed by Leslie H. Martinson, characters by Bob Kane, with Lorenzo Semple Jr. as screenwriter and starring Adam West, Burt Ward, Lee Meriwether, Caesar Romero, Burgess Meredith, and Frank Gorshin. Fine condition.

Baird, 15 January 1923, charges that the defendant "did manufacture intoxicating liquors" and "did unlawfully sell and barter malt, vinous, spiritous, fermented and other intoxicating liquors" in the "one story frame building" at 1258 Homer Street, Kansas City. This warrant also covers "bottles, glasses, jugs, kegs, barrels, cases, a still and other receptacles...." Signed by Carl W. Finche, Clerk of the District Court, 18 January 1923. With the warrant are: a 3-page statement of Information, signed by Joshua N. Baird, County Attorney; an Order of Parole for the defendant... The defendant, Mary Cegielski, apparently could not write as her mark "x" was called for on the documents. Vert good copies.

The only thing worse than a dead teen is a dead teen with a note in her pocket reading, "Number One." Worse yet, Malcolm Anderson receives a call from the "Numbers Killer," who torments him with an account of his tormented childhood and violent Vietnam experiences. Malcolm desperately tries to deduce the killer's motives and prevent the next murder. Adapted for the movie screen in 1985 as "The Mean Season," which starred Kurt Russell, and was a far cry from attaining the suspense and thrill of the book.
