Paris: Edition de L'Etoile, 1954. Octavo, pp. 137. Original grey stiff paper wrappers, lettered in blue on front panel and spine. Some edgewear to (outsize) wrappers, mild sunning to porion of rear panel, otherwise a fine, unopened copy. First edition. A second edition of this title, published later in the 1950s and with the author given as 'Suzette Aldo', was prosecuted by the French authorities. A lovely copy.

Tissue guard to frontispiece. One illustration detached, foxing to preliminaries, cup mark to rear panel, splash stain to front panel, gilt to spine faded, a little wear to spine ends. Frontispiece and eleven further illustrations by Grieffenhagen and Sullivan. First edition. Publisher's advertisements at rear date October 1902. A collection of short stories -- among them The Monkey's Paw, one of the most famous -- and terrifying -- horror stories ever written.

A small quantity of original typescripts, printed typescripts and photocopied typescripts, many secured with staple to top left corner, and many with handwritten amendments, additions and deletions. Housed in a blue card folder bearing a typed white paper label label reading TERRY JONES & MIKE PALIN. Some wear and toning consistent with their age, staples mostly rusted, otherwise in near fine condition. A SMALL QUANTITY OF ORIGINAL, PRINTED AND PHOTOCOPIED TYPESCRIPTS OF SKETCHES WRITTEN BY TERRY JONES AND MICHAEL PALIN FOR FROST ON SUNDAY AND THE FROST REPORT, WITH EXTENSIVE CORRECTIONS, AMENDMENTS AND REWRITES BY BOTH.
