This (presumably) short-lived newsletter (the initiative was defeated in November of 1978). Not found in OCLC.

Often imitated (think BROWN, HUE, and OUR LIFE), JET was founded by John Johnson in 1951, and was named for the airplane, not the color (because "In the world today everything is moving along at a faster clip"). The magazine shot to national prominence in 1955 with its shocking and graphic coverage of the murder of Emmett Till, and would remain an important voice in covering the Civil Rights Movement and in advocating for the rights of black and brown people.
