Two volumes complete - Volume One - clv, [1], 188pp and Volume Two - lxxxix, [1], 164pp. Original blue cloth, title in gilt to spine, blind stamped frame and corner pieces with central ship motif in gilt to cover, in DJ's. DJ to volume one slightly chipped to extremities, volume two's DJ is heavily chipped and torn, with significant loss to spine, spine browned, light foxing to edges of text block. Internally quite bright and clean. With six maps and two illustrations, as called for. Bridges and Hair, Hakluyt Society, 2/65 and 2/70. First Edition. Hardback. Good/Fair. 8vo.

Full calf, smooth backs, divided into six panels by gilt rule, morocco label to second panel, contrasting oval volume label to fourth. Slightly rubbed to extremities, spine ends worn, corners slightly bumped. Internally there is an ink stain to G3 (not affecting sense), some light browning and foxing, previous owners name to titles, but generally fairly clean. First published in 1751, this is the twelfth edition. Fleeman doubts the London imprint, suspecting it was actually printed in Edinburgh. Fleeman 50.3R/20. Reprint. Full Calf. Good+. 12mo.
