The novel was based on the adventures of Elizabethan corsair Amyas Preston (Amyas Leigh in the novel), who sets sail with Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh and other privateers to the New World, namely the Preston Somers Expedition and Raleigh's El Dorado Expedition where they battle with the Spanish. 32 chapters. All nine full-page color illustrations by N.C. Wyeth are present. A very handsome vintage copy. LOC SSS-09

Nelson whose figurines and greeting card characters have charmed their way into the hearts of thousands. Mrs. Nelson also contributed the Scandinavian recipes. In 1975 he published his systems research under the title General systemantics, republished two years later as Systemantics: How Systems Work and Especially How They Fail by Quadrangle, The New York Times Book Company. This work has been translated into Spanish, German, Hebrew, and Japanese. One of the statements from this book has become known as Gall's law. 12 chapters, appendices and a 3 page bibliography.
