Fly title page pulled away 2 inches at hinge, but binding firm. Pages clean throughout. Volume II: faint smudge on fore edge, cracked at page 336 but binding firm, 3 pages dog-eared else clean throughout. Overall, volumes very good. . Hard Cover. Ffep lightly chipped along edges, following page removed, watermark (2 inch) on inner edge of frontispiece. Tissue covering illustrations darkened, water stain on inner half of page 92 and 272, closed tear (1.5 inch) on page 159 and along fore edge on page 253.
