Limited first American edtion, #236 pf 450 copies. From the preface, Argonaut was going to reprint this work, but found there were still 450 unbound copies in Europe. This edition consists of those copies. In Greek and French, preface and directions for use added by Argonaut in English. A useful and thorough reference, letterpress printed in France.

An uncommon, important, and comprehensive record of Union prisoners of war in Confederate prisons, an anthology of 2 different narratives (the longer one by Isham) set apart from each other with full page "title" pages, using many sources.

An uncommon work on Armenia and its history, after the Geography and General History in vol 1 and leaving Literature for a third volume that does not appear to have seen the press. For over 30 years Issaverdens published a number of books in English regarding the history, language, and places of Armenia and the Armenian Church. Based at the monastery, it is clear the resources there helped greatly in his research. A second editon of the three extant parts was published in 1878.
